Who I am
I was the most affordable homebuilder in America for three years in a row. Cheaper per square foot than a mobile home. Then Houston's permitting office spent three years teaching me that nobody wanted affordable, and I asked myself what I could do in construction that does not need a permit.
Estimating. That was the short list.
My first outsourcing partner burned me the same way one probably burned you, so I built my own team. Seven years later it is more than 200 people, trained on a 250 video program, organized by specialty. A lumber guy does lumber. A door guy does doors. Every job ends with a call where we walk you through every number, and the notes read like the story of the job, not a spreadsheet dump.
I can write articles about outsourcing and I am probably the expert on it at this point. That is what this site is for.
